PROUD TO QUIT SMOKING
Jorgensen Designs led the groundbreaking Smoking Cessation/Reduction Campaign for the GLBTQ+ community in North America. Managed by Stephen Rodrozen in Vancouver, BC, the project was funded by Vancouver Coastal Health and Health Canada, running for six months with a successful post-campaign survey. Photographing recognizable influencers from the community without stereotypes effectively engaged the audience. The 'gay voice' approach added humor, creating openness to the serious topic. Health Canada praised the campaign's impact. The Proud to Quit Smoking website showcased tips, influencer stories, and an interactive survey. Post-campaign research confirmed its success, with over 80% awareness and a significant impact on tobacco intake reduction. GLBTQ organizations in the U.S. and Canada expressed interest in replicating the campaign.
